My name is Steve, I am 50 years old, and have a wonderful wife Michelle and two
beautiful little girls, Shannon and Jemma. In addition to being a Poet I am a
Business Consultant and professionally trained Life & Youth Impact Coach.
Poetry has been a hobby of mine for many years, and during this time I have often
been told that I have a gift that should I should pursue.
So about three years ago I entered a competition resulting in one of my poems,
"Seven Days" being published in a publication called "Celebrations in Verse from
the South East".
Another poem, "Sands that Stretch" is due to be published later this year in
"Forward Press Poets 2008 – Southern England" in a addition to being sent to the
British Library’s National Archive as an eternal record of my poetry.
This lead on to me writing personalised verse for friends, family and acquaintances
covering everything from speeches to seasonal greetings, messages of love to epitaphs.
I like to work from a basic idea of the message to be conveyed, the feelings to be
expressed, and a summary of applicable person or occasion.
This has proven to be so rewarding for both myself, and the recipients of my work,
that the idea for Verses4U was born.
